About the EULAR Campaign Don’t Delay, Connect Today
The EULAR Campaign Don’t Delay, Connect Today was launched in 2017. It was designed to raise and promote awareness of the symptoms connected to rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs) and the importance of gaining early diagnosis and access to care. The campaign embraces all three pillars of the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR): People against rheumatism in Europe (PARE), health professionals and scientific societies. The Edgar Stene Prize
The object of the Edgar Stene Prize is to stimulate the interest of people with RMDs in the work of EULAR and especially in the work of their national organisation. It was established in honour of the memory of the late Edgar Stene, who himself had severe ankylosing spondylitis. He was a great promoter of cooperation between doctors, patients and community workers. The prize is awarded annually to the best essay submitted by a person with an RMD describing their individual experience with living with this disease. Competition details are distributed to EULAR PARE member organisations so they can run the competition nationally with their own jury. Member organisations then select the best winning entry from their country to submit to the EULAR Secretariat for judging by the European Edgar Stene Prize jury. See below the stories.
